Enrollment for Current SCCSD Students
Parents/guardians of current SCCSD students do not need to complete the open enrollment procedure outlined below. If you wish for your SCCSD student to transfer to VIBE Academy, please click on the button below.
Open Enrollment for New Students
Open Enrollment is the process by which a parent or guardian residing in an Iowa district may enroll their child(ren) into another Iowa school district under the terms and conditions of Iowa Code 282.18 and Iowa Administrative Code 281-17.
VIBE Academy, a free online school for K-12 education, is open to any Iowa student in kindergarten through twelfth grade. You do not need to live within the Sioux City Community School District and there is no cost to Iowa students who enroll.
To enroll a child in VIBE Academy, complete and send the Iowa Open Enrollment Application to the Sioux City Community School District’s Associate Superintendent Administrative Assistant.
