Children's author and city native Marty Kelley visited Beech Street School today to talk with students about his writing and illustrating process. When he asked a group of 2nd graders "who likes to write books?" all hands went up. Getting a glimpse of the time he puts into his books was eye-opening for students, especially for fourth-graders who will soon be working on a character sketch as part of their own adventure story.
