After placing in the top three in the past two girls swimming state meets, the Huskies won the Class 6A state title at Edmond Public Schools Aquatic Center. Edmond North is filled with young talent, and its swimmers rose to the occasion. The Huskies finished with 332 points, placing ahead of Jenks (292) and Bartlesville (291).
“We have a great group of girls this year,” Edmond North site coach Lauren Reddout said. “They’re young, but they support each other and they love each other. I think that’s what really makes a good team is when you have that camaraderie.”
The Huskies had two relay victories that played a big role in helping them claim their fourth girls swimming title and first since 2013.
